Your New Beauty Routine

Let’s face it ladies… no matter how “natural” your look may seem, there is a ton of maintenance involved in a modern day beauty routine. Hair, makeup, skin, and brows… it can all be a bit overwhelming! And what’s more, it takes time and money to get it done right.

So I want to help you spend your precious time and hard earned dollars with the right people. I have become a bit of a prima donna when it comes to who I trust to get me camera ready because:

a) I don’t have the talent or patience to do it myself
and
b) I have experienced the horror of having it done wrong.

Read on to see my local beauty routine, and the result of it captured on camera by the talented James Almanza of Almanza Photography (because honestly your photographer is a key person in making you look like you woke up like this).

Great hair is essential. I trust Billy to cut, color and style my hair for absolutely any occasion. And he has done a lot with my hair…. he has dyed it pink, then back to blonde, given me a faux bob to complete an outfit, and even taught me the importance of regular blowouts. A good makeup artist knows all your secrets…. and how to hide them. Rayanna is truly an incredible artist. She can do sweet and simple, glamorous bride, or even demon teddy bear (What? It was Halloween!). She understands how to create a makeup look that translates well in person and on camera… and any “model” can tell you, that is a very, very rare skill.

I honestly cannot say enough good things about Sugar Sugar. From the very first time I went there to have my brows sugared, I was in love. Not only is the sugaring WAY less painful than waxing, it also lasts so much longer! I wrote a post about how awesome sugaring was after my first two visits there (see it here), but since then have tried out both their facial and eye lash extension services. And I am hooked.

First off, the facial was so refreshing and relaxing. To make things even better, their fabulous aesthetician recommended a new, organic skincare routine for me that has completely changed my face (I honestly hardly wear any makeup anymore). All the products are available at Sugar Sugar, so it’s super easy for me to stock up when I go back to get my brows done.

After having so many incredible experiences at Sugar Sugar, I was beyond excited to try their newest service: eyelash extensions. I’ve always been really curious about eyelash extensions, so when Sugar Sugar’s owner, Aimee, offered to let me try out the service complementary, I jumped at the opportunity.

Now I’ve had eyelash extensions for a little over 2 months, and I can’t possibly imagine going back to my natural eyelashes. I see such a dramatic difference and always feel ready, even when I first get out of bed. I’ve had two fills since I got the original set, and the price point seems so easy when I consider how much money (and time) I save on eye makeup!

Because I can’t stop raving about these eyelash extensions, Aimee is offering our readers 20% off their first full set, bringing the price point down to $130. If you go for regular fills, you only pay $35 – $75 (depending on how often you go). Trust me when I say, those extra 30 minutes + of sleep is BEYOND worth the price point.
