7 Beauty Don’ts This Summer

It might be ok to dye my hair pink, but you will never see me doing it. And, it might be acceptable to apply hemorrhoid cream over eye bags to keep them in good condition, but I will pass up that one as well.

Beauty Dont's

Certain beauty procedures and treatments are as bizarre as it gets- using tape or something just as insane for a fresh ‘You’. But let me just say, it does not work that way. Women need to know when to draw the line when it comes down to their beauty routine.

Here’s my two cents on this hot topic.

Crazy Color

Nicki Minaj likes doing her hair pink, but she doesn’t mind striking a pose with a pink poodle either. Thankfully, Nicki wears wigs, which can be removed whenever she feels like getting rid of them.  Talk about not wanting to hide behind outrageousness. I’m going to pass on the lavender, grey and pink hair trend.

Concocting from the Kitchen

Beauty Tips

It’s time people stopped doing crazy things like using grocery stuff as hair conditioners. Come on, no one wants to smell like their lunch. I can’t get into the idea of using grocery items as conditioners, if I smell like the local restaurant or a tossed salad. Where’d all moisturizing masks go? I do not understand what’s actually wrong with such traditional options.

Get Your Vitamins

Ask Victoria Beckham about the secret of her glowing skin. Two words: Placenta facials. Yes, you heard it right. People believe slapping placenta on their face makes them look better, but it makes me feel as uneasy as using beauty creams comprising of cow colostrum. Even though the number of people using other alternatives such as stem cell has gone up considerably over the years, there is nothing wrong with the regular vitamins C, and E.  You do not want to slap something on your face and feel uneasy for the rest of the day.

Leave it to the Professionals

Summer Beauty Dont's

DIY spa treatments are all the rage but there are several better treatments than cheap kitty litter masks (yes, that’s a real thing!). The last thing you want to hear your doctor say is that you have premature lines, breakouts and skin tears because of using cat litter as an exfoliant. Check out the best plastic surgeon in Scottsdale if you are considering any sort of professional treatments such as breast augmentation, or any other challenging beauty treatment procedure.

Mouthwash instead of Trendy Oils

Swilling down a good quantity of oil in your mouth and swishing it for about 20 to 25 minutes a day has a clear impact on your oral hygiene.  Granted, it gives you the best chance of improving your oral hygiene, but it is not nearly as easy as the regular mouthwash that you have been using all your life.

Cinnamon as Lip Plumper

Maybe the bee-stung looks of Georgia May Jaggers just don’t suit you. Using a lip plumper in form of Cinnamon may cause more harm than you think and can cause an irritating sensation to the lips, making them swell. Yes, it’s harmless, but, the results are not too encouraging either.

Pass on the Clay

Healthy Foods Beauty

People chow down on natural things like clay to keep their bodies and skin clean and fresh. Getting rid of toxins can be done in several ways, so choose the right method for yourself. It need not be as complex as eating clay. Keep it simple. Eat a balanced diet and fill yourself with enough supply of vitamins, minerals and nutrients to keep your skin healthy.
