Every girl is constantly looking for her “go-to” perfect makeup bag components, myself included. It’s just my luck that I happen to know quite a few makeup artists, and in turn, so do you. Yay! I asked one of my absolute favorite artists, Melanie Blake, for her top 5 must haves in her makeup bag. This is what she responded with:

1. Powder SPF: (It looks like a blush brush attached to a tube.) I literally use it before every single time I walk out the door on my face, body, and hands. A MUST for anti-aging!!! $14, Ulta

2. Revlon ColorBurst Balm: It comes in an array of colors and is soooo gorgeous!! It looks like shimmery lip gloss but acts as chapstick, has a fabulous texture, and a really sheer color. $10, Ulta

3. MAC Brow Set: Match hair color accordingly. $17, MAC Cosmetics

4.  Diorshow: Mascara!!! Diorshow is my alllllll time fave. $28, Sephora

5. MAC Technakohl Liner: It’s water resistant and Photogravure is the most flattering color on any skin tone. You can line the eye or smudge it out for a look on-the-go.

6. (If #1 didn’t count because it’s SPF.) MAC Blot Powder: It doesn’t add bulk to makeup, and it won’t remove makeup. It’s sheer and is solely for keeping shine under control. Bonus: It’s also a compact mirror!! A necessity for on-the-go. $26, MAC

7. And of course, a lash curler!!!
There you have it! The top five (Okay, seven. But my fellow beauty-lovers know it’s almost impossible to stick to only five!) beauty must-haves for your makeup bag from one of the best! Hopefully you either have some of these, or you’re running out to grab your new favorite products right now! I know I am. Xx
