The University of Arizona Wildcats are back for another semester and ready as ever to take over Tucson again. Bring on the pool parties, tailgates, and football season (and classes??) we are ready!

Tucson’s very own Kendra Scott at La Encantada is embracing the new school year right alongside us and is anxious to have some of their most loyal customers back in town. Wherever the fall semester takes you, Kendra Scott wants to come along for the ride!

For those who don’t know, Kendra Scott is known for her unique, exclusive pieces of jewelry as well as the inspiring story that began the extraordinary company. I had the opportunity of sitting down with Waverly Newton, Kendra Scott’s edited3-2community relations and event manager who recently got promoted to their San Francisco location. (Congrats Waverly!) Waverly let me in on what makes Kendra Scott so great, but more importantly what makes the Tucson location different from the others.

“The product might be all the same, but Tucson is such a big “small town” that we
have those loyal customers who we see all the time that have truly become our friends and apart of our Kendra Scott family,” said Newton.

Kendra Scott, CEO and designer, started her company with only $500 in 2002. Since then, Kendra Scott has grown to 47 stores. Kendra Scott built her company on three pillars: Family, Fashion, and Philanthropy.

When it comes to philanthropy, Kendra believes you always have something to give; which is why giving back to the community is so important to her. Kendra Scott works with many non-profit organizations in Tucson. Last year alone, Kendra Scott gave back $1.4 million to local and national charities. This movement continues to grow and inspire many to give back to their local communities.

As Kendra Scott grows as a company, Tucson continues to feel so lucky to be home to such a motivating company like Kendra Scott.
