The MonOrchid and Shade Projects are proud to present “The Garden” a short documentary film by Douglas Proce.”The Garden” is a short documentary about the I Have A Name Project’s art for advocacy mural on the west wall of the MonOrchid.
“This film tells the story of the I Have A Name Project and the efforts that went into making the mural a reality, “states Proce, who is a talented documentary filmmaker, videographer, editor and owner of Connected Films. “From conception to completion this project took over 18 months and Proce has created a captivating film work that both highlights and documents the I Have A Name Project, the beautiful artwork of Brian Boner and the passionate individuals involved in making this mural happen,” states Shade Projects Curator, Nicole Royse.
Shade Projects curator, Nicole Royse will host a very special discussion with guest speakers and the screening of “The Garden” on First Friday, July 1st, 2016 at 7pm. The discussion will begin at 7pm with a brief discussion about the project from Guest speakers Wayne Rainey, the owner of the MonOrchid, the Artist Brian Boner, and founder of the I Have A Name Project, Jon Linton. The short film will show several times throughout the evening until 9pm in the North Studio. This event is FREE to the public.
