We made a trip down to Tuscon, Arizona for a sparkling night of fashion, makeup, and fun. Haute Chocolate, a Tucson Fashion Designer, and Too Beautiful Cosmetics partnered up to present a gorgeous runway show full of glitter and glam. From the body glitter, to the sparkly eyeliner, to the gold glitter runway itself, this night was truly a sparkling success.
Haute Chocolate showcased three different collections: Earth, Ice, and Fire. The Earth collection featured neutrals like soft browns, golds, and light yellows. The Ice collection was lighter and more delicate with crisp white and sky blue, and the Fire collection was all about daring red and black.
One of our favorite looks of the night was this Cinnamon cocktail dress from the Ice collection. Pair this dress with some killer heels and a bright pink lip and you have an outfit that’s super girly and fun. Oh, and just FYI, all of the Haute Chocolate designs can be custom ordered in your size!
But the fashion was only half the fun. Guests got an extra special treat when Tonya, the founder of Too Beautiful Cosmetics, gave live makeup demos before each fashion show. Tonya taught us how to create a monochromatic look, dramatic eye with pinks and purples, and an ombre lip (something we’ve been wanting to learn for forever).
We were so excited to meet the creative genius behind Haute Chocolate after the show. Terysa Ridgeway is not only super talented, she’s also super sweet (making the name of her brand appropriate don’t you think?). She has had major success with her line so far, (including one of her pieces being seen in Teen Vogue) and we can’t wait to see where she will go from here.
The models looked dazzling on the runway and when we caught up with them afterwards. We were so impressed by the work from both Haute Chocolate and Too Beautiful Cosmetics. These Tuscon natives have definitely proved to us that there is extreme talent south of Phoenix.
We ended the night with cupcakes and hot chocolate (clever, right?) and headed back to Phoenix. I think we both agreed this trip was well worth it! Until next time, Tuscon!
