I had the awesome opportunity to partner with the ever fabulous Lino Martinez of Park Avenue Blow Dry Salon and one of our favorite friends, Teresa Strasser of The List, to do a makeover only using products from…. get this… the 99 cents store!
Lino and I were a bit skeptic at first, but we headed out to the 99 Cents Only Store to give it a whirl. What we found was actually a decently large selection of makeup that included powders, false eye lashes, nail polish and lipstick. Lino sat me down and gave me a makeover that would cost about $90 in a salon with products that all cost $1!
Of course it helps that Lino Martinez is an insanely talented hair and makeup artist, but I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed with the powder, lashes and lipstick that you could get for such a decent price. College students, I recommend checking it out for your trip to Mill this weekend.
