One of my favorite things in the world is awesome collaborations. I love seeing how innovative people can be when pushed outside their comfort zone to work on a new idea with a fellow creative. When Hues of Ego and Possibility Jewelry asked me to be a part of their Winter 2014 campaign, I couldn’t have been more excited.
Designers Astrid Mueller and Natasha Duran-Lynch told me a bit about their idea to style an exclusive piece of Possibility Jewelry with Hues of Ego Fall/Winter 2014 Collection, and I immediately jumped on board. I could never have imagined such an incredible (and exclusive!) design would emerge from this collaboration.
The Winter 2014 Exclusive piece from Possibility is unique in the fact that it is not simply one accessory. The item can be worn several different ways, depending on your individual style.
See all the way I styled the piece, as captured by talented fashion photographer, James Almanza of Almanza Photography.
Here, I styled the piece as a belt with the Hues of Ego Courtney top and Jeannie Mae skirt for a feminine look that reads office holiday party chic.
Hues of Ego Courtney Peplum Top – $189 (not available until 2015)
Hues of Ego Jeannie Mae Lace Skirt – $243 (not available until 2015)
If feminine pieces aren’t exactly your go-to, change the ribbon color (the design comes with black, navy and white ribbon), and pair with an awesome shirt dress. Whether you’re headed to a dinner date or an important meeting, this look is sure to cause a double take.
Are necklaces more your style? Wear the piece as a choker necklace and turn heads. This powerful look is one that is best worn dramatic. I say, if you’re going to go for it, go all the way!
You can wear the piece as a statement cuff….
Or lace it up your arm like a ballerina slipper.
But my absolute FAVORITE way to wear this piece has to be as a statement headband! The different color ribbons make it so the piece compliments any outfit, but I couldn’t get over it with this super soft (and comfy!) Avery coat. The perfect balance of feminine and contemporary, this outfit is one that I would wear all winter long.
