Oh! Abbe, how did you get to be so creative? I am very excited to announce the launch of my good friend, Abbe Johnson’s nail lacquer line. Being a true entrepreneur at heart and appreciative of all things “glam,” Abbe followed her dreams by starting the next OPI. With an assortment of hues and glitters to choose from, Oh! Abbe (the clever name of the polish line) caters to a little bit of everyone’s style, some polishes being more modest than others, but each polish having a chic fashion-forward name.
One of our beauty bloggers, Cassie Goers got the opportunity to receive a manicure by Abbe herself and learn a thing or two about Abbe’s inspiration, motivation and plans for the future.
Having been a nail technician for over 30 years, Abbe has worked beside celebrity manicurist, Deborah Lippmann and over time has developed her own passion for expanding her brand. She is constantly mixing and matching colors, glitters and textures in order to keep her ideas evolving. The “Pinterest Queen” is willing to take on any innovative design challenge and that’s what makes her so much fun to work with.
I have quite a few older clients who want to wear fun colorful nails but they always say “Well, I’m too old.” I don’t get that- Life is short, go for the glitter! – Abbe Johnson
Abbe developed her lacquer line from start to finish, from the concoction of each color to the branding and marketing of the collection. Appealing to fashionistas everywhere, Abbe has strategically named each polish in a witty manner such as Tiffany’s a Material Girl, Red Haute Patten Leather and Versassy. Another unique fun fact about this polish line is that its handmixed and free from harmful toxins like Formaldehyde and Toluene. Not to mention, each polish comes with a signature handle detail like a black rhinestone pump or bow that can be worn as a ring.
So far, this business venture has been a fun-filled ride for Abbe, a strengthening challenge that keeps her pushing forward every day. Her family is her major support system that encourages her to fulfill her passion project and is aiding her in web development and marketing for the brand. Her biggest role model, her mother actually came up with the name of the brand.
Oh! Abbe can be purchased online at http://ohabbe.com/ or at two physical locations in Phoenix. One being her place of work, Cloud 9 Salon and Spa and the other being a personal favorite boutique of ours, Clothes Minded. This year, you can expect to see Abbe’s lacquer line popping up at various boutique and salon locations across the valley.
