We adored Furne One the moment we saw his show at Phoenix Fashion Week, and we fell in love all over again tonight at Espionage En Couture. A private airplane hangar at Scottsdale AirCenter was the scene for this event supporting both the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation and the Arizona Spinal Cord Injury Association.
A silent auction was in place all night, as well as a live auction for the chance to completely customize an original Furne One gown (Jealous!). Not only were attendees benefiting groundbreaking charities, but they were able to do so while being spellbound by an incredible runway show. This fab event was dreamt up by Flavor Marketing. Excellent job guys!
We got a behind the scenes look at the designs, and they are even more breathtaking up close. The beading was incredibly intricate–one dress takes approximately 2-3 months to make!
The collection presented was titled “Confession of Mata-Hatri…A Tribute to McQueen.” This Spring 2013 line was just featured at LA Style Week, and lucky for us, we got the chance to see it in person.
As if these photos don’t say enough already, this line was fierce. Silver and gold sheer fabrics adorned with crystals caught the light at every angle. The headpieces had almost a regal appearance and certainly had us swooning. Defying the norm, the runway was shaped like a diamond. Multiple models graced their looks simultaneously allowing for plenty of ooh’s and ahh’s from the crowd.
This exquisite collection didn’t fail to impress us. A standing-O when Furne One himself emerged from backstage makes us think the crowed was just as captivated. Bravo to leaving us awe-struck once again!
