Fashion For A Passion

Nothing says chic like supporting others’ dreams, especially when those others are children who are suffering. Fashion for a Passion was a charity event dedicated to benefiting the Make-A -Wish Foundation., while celebrating the empowerment that can come through fashion.

Through ticket sales and a silent auction, The Global Production Group gave guests lots of opportunities to help make wishes come true. There was also a fashion show featuring brands who preach the message of giving back and woman’s empowerment. (and you can imagine how excited we were about that!)

A HUGE thank you to Cassie for not only coming as my guest, but collaborating on the story!

The first designer of the night was Woman’s Touch. All of the designs were based on the empowerment of women and their rights. Our favorite design was a tee, which said, “I Am Not A Bitch”.  We found it hilarious and empowering all at the same time. Fab job Woman’s Touch!

We met the designer, Jenesis Laforcarde, after the show & she was such a sweetheart! We saw her mom cheering her daughter on during the show and had to capture the moment for the fam. (P.S. How much do you love Jenesis’ full pink skirt and houndstooth crop jacket. So cute!)

Next up was Here on the Corner (remember them from Local Designer Night and our Holiday Gift Guide?). This boutique is all about local fashion, global passion. All the items in their store are either from local AZ designers, or support a global cause. Fashionistas at ASU did a fantastic job with the styling of the fashion show, making it all about glitz, glamour, and patterns galore! The models worked a variety of styles including rock star, hipster, even something for date night.

Mabella Chic finished the night, taking us to the ‘70’s with colorful lines and flowing fabrics. Stripes and color blocking were a must for these outfits, which were all about giving powerful women the wardrobe they need for an independent and intriguing lifestyle.

As fabulous as the fashion shows were, the charity aspect of the event was even better. We love pretty dresses and shoes as much as the next fashion blogger, but at the end of the day, giving back to these kids is even more important.
