Revealing their modified glamorous look Saturday evening, The Mint in Scottsdale came back to life with a stunning fashion show by the local denim brand, Diego Milano.

This was the ideal occasion for the launch of this high-end denim collection. We saw everything from distressed faded denim to sharp, classic, true-blue jeans. Diego Milano sets themselves apart by naming each pair of their jeans after famous rock musicians such as “The ACDC,” “The Halen”, or “The Joplin.” As if wearing a pair of these jeans wouldn’t make us feel like rock stars already!

Diego Milano has a prevalent Italian influence within their designs so it was very apropos to collaborate with Roberto Botticelli to provide shoe wear for the show. The Italian leather boots and heels completed the GUESS – meets- Roberto Cavalli look.

In addition, one of our personal favorite brands, Hearts.com, styled each outfit to perfection with accessories. (Remember when Hearts.com first launched? Read the story here for more details.)

We got the opportunity to go behind the scenes and get a preview of the models’ makeup and hair looks for the evening.  Messy, yet chic would be the best way to describe the hairstyles that were being rocked on the runway. We saw a lot of teased braided up-dos for the girls and slicked back do’s for the guys. Thick liquid eyeliner, frosty lip color, and highlighted cheekbone contouring was the theme for the make- up look.

We enjoyed chatting with the models before the show and felt the vibrant energy that was all around us backstage. We had the opportunity to meet the extremely personable founder and CEO of the brand, Chris Kay at the conclusion of the show to congratulate him on his debut fashion show success. Nice work Chris and we wish you the best of luck with your new line!
