We love parties, especially really fabulous ones that benefit the community. The pARTy by Phoenix Art Museum is one such event. Every year, museum donors come together to celebrate the work the museum has done in the past year. The event also helps to raise funds for the museum to ensure that the community can enjoy another year of art and education.
This year, armed with the excitement for the new Andy Warhol exhibit, the museum pulled out all the stops ensuring that everyone in attendance left saying WOW and counting down the days until the museum’s next big event.
The evening started off with a fashion show presented by Neiman Marcus. The luxury retailer presented a collection by Akris, a family-owned Swiss label that appeals to the modern day Power Woman.
Akris – Presented by Neiman Marcus
The first pieces shown were from Akris’ Spring/Summer 2015 collection and featured sporty looks with sheer paneling and geometric shapes. The show then transitioned to classic silhouettes in lux fabrics. We found each look to be very wearable, and can see the modern career woman shopping this brand for both work and play scenarios.
Below are some of our favorite looks from the show, each of which features a strong, confident aesthetic.

After the fashion show, guests paraded to the tent outside the museum to get their groove on. The Andy Warhol era vibe had guests instantly in the mood to have a good time. The live band, go go dancers, and photo booths ensured there was plenty to see and do while waiting for the delicious dinner to begin.
One of our favorite parts of the evening was seeing all the guests’ fashion, which truly was a runway show in and of itself. One of our favorite looks of the night was the Andy Warhol tribute look shown below. Be sure not to miss her Campbell’s Soup Can evening bag, daintily hanging off her shoulder.
The event was a huge success, raising nearly $1 million for Phoenix Art Museum. The museum is such an integral part of the community, dedicated to educating Arizona about art and culture, and the passion for Phoenix Art Museum’s mission could be felt through every one in attendance.
We couldn’t have been more thrilled to be a part of such a spectacular event. If you weren’t able to attend the event for yourself, we highly recommend you check out the Andy Warhol portrait exhibit, opening on March 4th, for a taste of the fun.
