The New Phoenix-er. By Guest Blogger – Brittney Willis

Although the products of two different worlds can sometimes create an utter mess, when Alexa Renfroe (Lexi) brought her New York fashion mindset to her new home of Phoenix, Arizona, she did it with ease and oh so chicly. Lexi manages to accomplish the merge of the two different fashion cultures everyday as she takes on all that can be found in downtown Phoenix as The New Phoenix-er.

When I approached Lexi with wanting to showcase her for Couture in the Suburbs, she couldn’t have been happier to agree. I asked her to dress casually while wearing some of her favorites for the shoot.

Lexi’s wardrobe choice ranged from a sky blue blazer, cheetah pants, and studded sandals. The soft color of her blazer popped against the busy cheetah-printed pants. Both the blazer and the cheetah pants were purchased online through Nasty Gal (where most of her clothing comes from). However, she informed me that Urban Outfitters and Forever21 also sell similar merchandise.

I was happy when I saw her in a pair of cheetah-printed pants, because cheetah print is showing up all over Phoenix. Whether it be pants or loafers, cheetah print is taking over, and I’m absolutely loving it!

I just had to get a close up shot of her Jeffrey Campbell sandals! They are… everything! The gold studded sandals helped to bring her outfit together and her charm filled pandora bracelet gave it a little something extra. All of that topped off with a pair of oversized sunglasses and a closely knitted beanie made it the perfect everyday wear for a typical fall afternoon in Phoenix while giving it a New York feel.

How fabulous is Lexi?! Thanks for featuring such a gorgeous girl with awesome personal style, Brittney! We are so lucky we get to feature the work of an Arizona State Fashion Journalism Club writer. You are an incredibly talented girl and we can’t wait to see more from you. A huge thank you to Brittney’s photographer, Alex Wilson, as well!
