A Note of Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving, these fashion bloggers have a ton to be thankful for! When we launched Couture in the Suburbs in May, we never could have imagined all the success we would have in just 7 months. We want to take a moment to be thankful for all the people we’ve met and opportunities we’ve been given.

First off, we have to thank our GORGEOUS models! These girls have been helping us out since the very beginning. Taylor stared in our “All Tied Up” story. Aubrey modeled in “The Shoes Have It,” “Accessorize Accordingly,” and “Stuck in Colder Weather.” You saw Hannah in “The Shoes Have It” in her fabulous I Wanna Be Barbie shirt.

Thank you models!

We also have to say thanks to our awesome guest bloggers! Paige Zaremba taught you how to DIY, and Brittany McGonagle showed you how to wear chambray multiple ways, and Brittney Willis featured a fashionista with awesome personal style. We also have to say thanks to our very first Chic Collegiate, Markie Mullins.

Thank you Guest Bloggers & Chic Collegiate!

And of course, our blog wouldn’t be nearly as interesting without an array of fabulous events! We have to thank the Phoenix Fashion Week team for including us in all their events (from the very early Emerging Designer Announcement, to all the shows at Talking Stick Resort this October, to the awesome Polo Match).

We’ve had the opportunity to spread the word of Phoenix fashion on our site, but the organizations hosting these events are the people who are really truly creating a scene here. From style studios, to local designer nights, to the breath-taking Espionage in Couture fundraiser, we have seen an incredibly amount of talent, further proving the rise of fashion here in Arizona.

Thank you to everyone who has let us be a part of your spectacular events!

But the best part of all those events isn’t the fashion (shocking I know), it’s without a doubt the people we meet. We have had the opportunity to make some truly sensational (and super talented) friends. Every single one of you has made this journey even more incredible for us, and for that we say thank you!

Brian Hill, Lauren Pfingstag, Vanja Veric and Brittany Dawn Brannon of Phoenix Fashion Week, Ofra of Ofrastyle, Michael of Living Dreams (and his awesome entourage of family and friends!), the gorgeous Shawl Dawls, Courtney of Bella Argentina, and Melis of Melis Accessories – we love you all!

Thank you to all our new friends!

We must also thank our fellow fashion bloggers for encouraging us, collaborating with us, and most of all, helping to raise the fashion scene in Arizona. Check out Shadow from Fit Fabulous Mom, Ashley Murphy from Golden Divine, all the fab college students behind The Chic Daily, Amy from Amy’s Vintage Closet, Hannah Hayes from Heroine Chic, Adrian from Adrian Loves Owls, and of course, the incredibly talented Corbin Chamberlin (although super talented journalist might be more appropriate than blogger!)

Thank you fellow bloggers!

And we couldn’t be more appreciative of all the positive publicity we’ve gotten. From a feature in So Scottsdale magazine and College Times to an interview with Arizona Foothills Magazine (you can read it here), we are incredibly thankful for the people who think we’re cool enough to talk about!

Thank you for the publicity!

The biggest thank you we have is to YOU, our viewers. Without your interest in Couture in the Suburbs, all this work would be pointless. We appreciate every single person who clicks on our site, reads our words, and looks at our photos. We hope you continue coming back to our blog as we continue Following the Fashion Scene in Phoenix.

Thank YOU! XoXo Couture in the Suburbs
