Hey there fashionistas. What’s the latest thing we’re up to these days? Saturday night’s Brave Wings fashion show, presented by Women’s Touch Apparel and Mabella Chic, hosted by 101.5’s Jackie Morales (you know if there’s a fab fashion show in Arizona, we like to show our faces). The Brave Wings Fashion Show was started by these two young fashion designers to bring awareness to the Sojourner Center, an organization who supports women and children affected by domestic violence.

The Venue of Scottsdale hosted this amazing fashion show, which was not only totally fabulous, but super powerful! Brave Wings Fashion Show started off with some impactful poetry from Divine for Life, voicing how important women’s empowerment is and how strong females are.

Women’s Touch Apparel started off the night (remember how awesome their line is from our previous story? Read it here). Jenesis Laforcarde’s line featured pieces with outstanding words such has “High Heels Only” and “CEO”. Oh, and we can’t forget how each model wore be-dazzled sunglasses! So fierce. (and we wouldn’t expect anything less from such a fabulous lady)

Up next was Cher Thomas, a bright, colorful line that was definitely unique. Her looks were accessorized with one of a kind jewelry pieces from Lana May that were absolutely breathtaking! Ending the first part of the show, was Mabella Chic featuring jewelry pieces from Stella & Dot.

During the intermission we were able to get a glimpse of all the little booths, including our friends from Threads . Soon after, guest speaker, Stacy Santelli,  shared her story about how domestic violence affected her life, and how she was able to recreate her life with the love and support of family, friends, and organizations like the Sojourner Center.

Opening the show again after the intermission was Dawn Sunflower, a line with dramatic patterns and sparkly pieces. And who doesn’t love a little sparkle! Right after was Trifilio. The horizontal lines and safari pritns in the clothing were eye catching and smooth, perfect for everyday wear.

Wrapping up the Brave Wings fashion show was Orlando Dugi, a designer who made his way to Arizona all the way from Santa Fe, New Mexico. He brought culture and beauty to the runway. His pieces were bright in color and stood out. Our favorite was the mini feather covered vest paired with a piercing red dress, beautiful and rich.

And we absolutely can’t forget  to mention the main reason why each model looked absolutely stunning on the runway. One of our favorites, Saskia and her team from Saskia Salon, came and did the hair for each model (remember what a good job they did at the Beauty Bar event? Read the recap here).

Muz Makeup was the line behind the model’s fab runway ready makeup, done by fabulous makeup artists (like our good friend Rayanna Tucker from Park Avenue Blow Dry & Beauty Bar) The Muz Makeup line was full of spectacular colors, perfect for runway looks. Well done ladies!

Overall we had a great time and enjoyed supporting the Sojourner Center and our local fashion designers, models, and beauty teams!
