We are the first to admit… sometimes the #LifeofaFashionBlogger is pretty awesome. Friday night at the Phoenix Fashion Week Shop the Garment District event was a perfect example of all the fun we get to have, right here in Arizona. Studio 3D was packed wall to wall with fashion savvy individuals. The drinks were pouring and the crowd was buzzing (and sweating a little bit… it got pretty hot with hundreds of bodies in one studio space). We walked around the venue, saying hi to some of our favorites (like the Living Dreams crew, Vanja and Lauren from Phoenix Fashion Week, and one of our favorite fashion bloggers, Simply Audree Kate).

We loved seeing how the designers have expanded their collections since we first saw them at the Emerging Designer Announcement (Read the story here). After interviewing several of them for our “Ones to Watch” story, we knew that the show was going to be spectacular, and we were definitely not disappointed. The best part about the Emerging Designer Competition is the variety of styles that you end up seeing on the runway.
Some of our favorites from the show were Michelle Hébert‘s gorgeous gowns, the pocket details on Loin Cloth’s shorts, Doux Belle‘s feminine dresses, all the awesome Melis Accessories‘ cuffs and the playful styling in the Medium Apparel show.
Shop Garment District made us more excited than ever for Phoenix Fashion Week in October. We know that these designers definitely won’t disappoint.
