Summer may be coming to a bittersweet end, but it is only the beginning for fall fashions. Whether you are attending ASU, NAU, U of A, or any other school in the valley, back to the college is the time to show off those outfits you have been stocking up on all summer.
College makes up a large part of most students lives. It is a platform for social and academic opportunities and a place to showcase your personality. What better way to do that than through fashion? Here are a few of our favorite looks for this fall semester that we cannot wait to show off on Palm Walk.
Outfit #1:
Nautical influence and casual chic sums up this outfit perfectly. The brown woven belt cinches the waist giving the dress a more fitted look. The thick vertical stripes compliment any figure (because we all know how dangerously unflattering horizontal stripes can be) and provide a slimming effect.
This dress can be paired with gladiator sandals or even black wedges if you feel like dressing up for class, if you have a presentation maybe? All we know is that with an outfit like this, you might as well be teaching FASH101.
Outfit #2:
Who says you can’t dress up professionally without making a stylish impact? What we love about this outfit is the fact that it can transition from the classroom to the workplace effortlessly. Many girls have full schedules between going to class, hanging out at the Memorial Union, and rushing off to an internship after school.
This J. Crew inspired look will make that transition as easy as slipping into a pair of patent leather nude flats and boyfriend jeans. Hint: a skinny nude belt will surely complete this outfit.
One accessory that will never go out of style is a classic watch. Our favorite belongs to the newest collection of watches by Fossil. This rose gold arm candy can be paired with almost any outfit and make a statement. The only downside of wearing this watch is you can’t use that famous line “I lost track of time!” when you are just (a little) late for class.
Outfit #3:
Last but not least, the perfect crochet summer dress made into a fall ready-to-wear look. Pair any lightweight summer dress with a jean jacket to emulate this style. (We think it looks very “Free People.”) Picture this, walking around the W.P. Carey School of Business on a warm day wearing a cute simple dress and then sliding on a jean jacket in the below- freezing temperatures of the classroom. Couldn’t be more ideal for Phoenix weather, right?
Accessory tip: Metallics look great with jean material. Metallic gold bangles and sandals are your go-to for this outfit.
There is so much to look forward to this fall semester between joining new clubs, meeting up with old friends, and acing those classes. Needless to say, it is possible to do all those things while still looking fashionable and providing style inspiration for others. We can’t wait to see what YOU come up with this fall season. See you on campus!
