I did not grow up in a fashion-forward community; I grew up in a community full of culture and art. Sioux Falls, South Dakota, was a great starting point and I couldn’t imagine my life without it because its environment shaped me into who I am today. My constant involvement in the local art community inspired me to reach for my goals in life and push myself to far and beyond what Sioux Falls has to offer. That is how I landed here in Phoenix, Arizona.

I am attending the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, currently (keyword: currently) studying Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations. I feel that I am always changing my mind as to who and what I want to be and this is reflected in my style more than anything. Sometimes I am not who I may look like on any specific day; my style evolves daily.One day I can be 90s grunge and the next, collegiate chic.

I feel that my sense of style and compassion towards fashion trends makes me a great, unbiased fashion writer. Fashion keeps me on my toes because you never know what the next trend may be and that is why it is so intriguing to me. Fashion is an art form never to be mastered and I am simply here to be a pawn in its never-ending game.
