As Valentines Day approaches, roses are being purchased, Olive Garden reservations are being made, and of course outfits are being put together. No look is complete without a flirty lip color though. Depending on your look ladies, you’ll need either the perfect nude, pink, or red lip color to really make your man do a double take and lean in for a good night kiss (or two). Before you can choose a color, you’ll need to make sure your lips aren’t cracked or chapped so it’s important to moisturize with a chap stick or lip balm like a flavored EOS lip balm sphere.

Once, your lips are nice and moist, go ahead and outline your lips with the e.l.f matte lip color as a base for either the nude, pink, or red color of your choice. This will help keep the color on contact with your lips and will be a great foundation for each color.

Now, if you’re going for a more natural but still very pretty look, nude lips will be perfect for you. The NYX Summer Love color goes on very smoothly and has a little bit of a shine to it since it is not matte but still stays on quite well. This nude is not too dark and will make you look a tad more tan than you actually are which is always good.

Pretty in pink is always a great look especially for a night on the town on Valentines Day. If this is the look you’re going for, Too Faced Marshmallow Bunny is a great lip color for you. This light pink color adds a little shine and girly touch to your lips without being too barbie- like.
